6 true facts about Matariki
There are more than 7 stars in the cluster if you look at a picture of it then you should be able to see more than 7 as proof.
the 7 stars are named Pleiades clusters, or seven sisters, or m45.
The 7 stars are all sibling but in the seven sisters myth, one is their mother.
The Pleiades star cluster is made from gas and dust some were 100 million years ago.
The Zuni of New Mexico call the Pleiade stars the (Seed Stars)
To see more than six or seven stars in the cluster you need to have very good eyesight.

Today for my literacy medals I have chosen to do the Matariki facts.
I liked how it was kind of easy.
I disliked that it was hard to find the facts.

in Whenua we have been learning about Matariki and all the beautiful stars! All of us have created our own video of us being news reporters and we had to make our own scripts. This was kinda hard and kinda easy. The hardest bit was when I had to edit it because I'm new to wevideo. I made this with wevideo .  I hope you are having a great time at home and have a great day goodbye! From Eden. Lucy's Reflection

Reflecting our year

For literacy today we had to make something to reflect our year. When Miss Farr said it could be anything I decided I would make it a cake. It only has one thing on it and that is me ziplining at adrenaline forest but if it had more I would include Kids lit, Westamaths, my northland holiday, athletics and spending time with my friends and family. What I learnt from that event was how to concur my fear, not of hights but of a zip line breaking when I was on it and then falling down through trees. I think this will remind me that I can concur any fears which will mean I will try more new things.  enjoyed making and decorating it but eating it was definitely the best (Past tastes great!). I found it challenging to recreate the photo but I am happy with it. To be BTB(Better Than Before) I could make a bigger cake and add more things.
